Peds and other road signs of a Washington State rest stop

I like the weird ped style of the road signs in Washington road stops. In particular they use an odd hatch-back car. It's an image I've seen on other signs elsewhere. For some reason I just love it. Oh, and that trailer!

Are these peds Washington specific?

Most note worthy is a public bathroom in one of the lower levels but there are some other little fun conceits here and there.

This last photo is one of a vernacular ped, a homemade "shopping" ped in a alley of Pike Place Market.

This one postcard may be the single most important element of my ped obsession. It came into my life at an impressionable age (probably around 1984) and somehow stuck in the murky recesses.
